Rotorua Accommodation

Wednesday 1, August 2018

When you visit Rotorua or really plan any holiday the first thing you must think about is where you are going to sleep, where you can put your feet up and relax. Rotorua, being a tourist town, is full of amazing options that suit any need, budget or style. Because there are so many options instead of the right option jumping out at you it can be hard to choose the right Rotorua accommodation. Below are just some of the amazing options that you can choose from, but they are also some of my favourites.

Princess Gate Hotel

This hotel has a simply amazing history, it originally wasn’t even built in Rotorua but in Waihi in the Coromandel. It was dismantled and rebuilt in its new stunning location right next to the iconic Government Gardens. I can’t talk about its whole history, but I have added a link below to their history and believe me it’s well worth a read. In the modern day this hotel is one of the most iconic Rotorua accommodation options that you could find also one of the most luxurious. Anything from a classic and cosy double room to a designer room styled elegantly by award winning interior designer Mark Steiner. Check out their website and history at the links below and when you visit Rotorua you can stay in our little slice of history.

The Blue Lake Top 10 Holiday Park

Situated at one of the stunning lakes we visit on our Duck Tours we simply had to mention this Holiday Park. It is one of the busiest holiday parks in the country but when you look at the location you can understand why! There are several accommodation options from campsites to cabins but what really makes this park special is the fact that you are surrounded by walking/running tracks, you can hire a canoe and head out on the lake, you are still only a few mins driver from town and basically whatever direction you go you are going to find some amazing sights. If you want to visit Rotorua and you want to feel like you are staying in nature, you’ll want to check this place out! Have a look at their website below.

Aura Rotorua

Straight from their website “Aura is different, and deliberately so.” This centrally located is designed to be vibrant down to the last detail. Rotorua is well known for its geothermal wonders and Aura have harnessed this geothermal activity to create an amazing experience. Geothermally heated rooms, water heating, mineral baths and so much more. It’s a real genuine Rotorua experience. Owned and operated by friendly locals you can also plan your Rotorua holiday with ease and because it’s so centrally located you’ll have everything you need right on your doorstep.
